Legacy

In the bustling city of Faisalabad, often referred to as the textile capital of Pakistan, stands Dawood Textile Mills—a testament to decades of dedication and innovation in the textile industry. The journey began in the 1950s when Haji Muhammad Dawood, a visionary textile merchant, established a modest shop to sell fabrics. His unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction led to the acquisition of Poonam Textile Mill in 1958, marking the company's initial foray into manufacturing.
As the years progressed, the Dawood family's passion for textiles spurred further expansion. In 1984, they inaugurated a state-of-the-art printing unit named Dawood Textile Printing Industries (Pvt) Ltd. on Sargodha Road, Faisalabad. This facility specialized in producing fashion fabrics for women and home textiles, catering to both domestic and international markets.
Recognizing the potential of global markets, the company ventured into international trade in 1978 by establishing Dawood Exports (Pvt) Ltd. This strategic move allowed them to introduce their high-quality products to customers worldwide, including regions such as Europe, Australia, Canada, the Middle East, and South America. Their diverse product range encompassed home textiles, institutional items, and more, all manufactured with a focus on quality and innovation.
Over the decades, Dawood Textile Mills has evolved into a vertically integrated enterprise, managing every aspect of production from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. Their commitment to excellence is evident in their certifications, including SA 8000 and ISO 14000, reflecting their dedication to social accountability and environmental management.
Today, Dawood Textile Mills stands as a beacon of quality and reliability in the textile industry. Their story is one of growth, adaptation, and an unwavering commitment to their founding principles, ensuring that they remain a trusted name in textiles both in Pakistan and around the globe.
